Fresh

I don't know about you guys, but the weekend was WAY too short! And what's up with these holidays coming up at full-speed?!
I came across some fresh and pretty takes on Thanksgiving decor. Not a turkey, squirrel or acorn in sight. Find the how-to's and the materials here & here.

Web

I hope your weekend was nice! Disneyland ended up not happening, but I did go to the Hello Kitty Retrospective opening. That had its own brand of slightly-weird, but it was a lot of fun! Pictures soon.
In the meantime, add some pretty touches to Halloween decor with crocheted spider webs. They're wispy like the real thing, but the patterns are ornate & flowery. These are by artist Shane Waltener, but you can also get them here (and probably for less!).

Here Kitty, Kitty...

If you're in the L.A. area, check out gallery Royal-T's upcoming Hello Kitty Retrospective (through November 11th). The exhibit showcases the last 35 years of Hello Kitty and the rest of the Sanrio family. Show up opening night & learn to make sushi Sanrio-style, enjoy a Hello Kitty-themed cocktail, and enjoy the late-night afterparty with the cat herself.
(As Edward Munch's The Scream)
It all sounds a little Stanley Kubrick-ey, but definitely worth checking out. Check it out here.

I'm In The Mood For Love...
...so I've been perusing through the bold, sweet prints in Melbourne-based Love Shop. All of the prints and posters are simple, charming (just like Ms. JJ, the designer behind them) and unfortunately limited-edition. They're also affordable! My personal favorite (and Erin's most recent purchase) is the first one. Browse through her shop here.

Shinichi Maruyama

If you're in the NYC area, check out Japanese photographer Shinichi Maruyama's Kusho exhibit. The photos capture black ink and water just as they collide; so simple but so elegant. The pic above reminds me of a Valentino fashion sketch. Check more of Shinichi's work out here.

Chocolate Air Mail

Happy Monday!
For those of you that still mail stuff (I mean really mail, like USPS-style), check out Toby Ng's Chocolate Mail stamp collection. Not only are they adorable, they're also tasty! They're first-class stamps designed to look like little chocolate bars and come in flavors Dark, Milk or White Chocolate. George Costanza's fiancée's outcome would have been different had she used these.
Check them out here.

Seksi Spam

Help raise funds for sexual health charities and buy a Seksi Spam Button. Based on miss-spelled sexy emails, they're fun & cheeky and will make the recipient smile & perhaps give them something to look forward to. So button up you seksi beeches! Buy here.

Who needs Warhol when you have a Big Huge Lab?

Big Huge Labs lets you play with your pictures using different formats (ex: my Avatar as Pop Art). They have a lot of different tools in there, so set an afternoon aside & go to town! Start here.
