On a recent jaunt to Paris, I visited one of my most favorite shops in the whole wide world.
La Vaissellerie, located on Rue-de-Rennes on the Left Bank, carries endless amounts of the most beautiful kitchenware. The shop goes beyond the adorable-albeit-omnipresent latte bowls. Literally stacked from floor to ceiling, their stock consists of everything from stunning jewel-colored baking dishes and earthenware made in Provence to Limoges porcelain at prices you would NEVER find in the States. I don't know if it was the Valentine's Day-fuzz or the prices that took over, but we stocked up on 10 heart-shaped Limoges dinnerware place-settings, a Limoges heart-shaped baking dish, two beautiful tangerine-colored square baking dishes with ruffled edges, oversized cafe-au-lait mugs, etc, etc, etc. When you visit, ask for Clothilde or Veronique.
