I was in the Bay Area over the weekend, and one of the high points of my visit was a wonderful, very authentic bistro called Le Charm in San Francisco's SOMA district. Though the entire meal was fabulous, the stars of the show were definitely the French Onion Soup and the Tart Tatin. Big surprise - they were actually nice enough to put the recipe for the soup on-line for everyone to make (www.lecharm.com/recipes.php).
