Before you go...

If you would have told me that I would take the discontinuation of a magazine (of all things) this hard, I would have buoyantly laughed in your face. It truly saddens me to see Gourmet go.

To pay my respects, I wanted to share a couple of my favorite recipes from them:

Instead of a cake, I made this for Chris on his birthday after we were first married.

I made this for Chris on one of our first dates. Now I can practically make it in my sleep.
