Paloma
I wanted to quickly share the recipe for this drink (which I plan on enjoying later this evening). Most of you are probably familiar with it; if not, then let me fill you in. The Paloma is a light, refreshing cocktail popular throughout Mexico. It's like the margarita's lighter, fizzier, more easy-going sibling.
Start with:
- 2 oz. Silver (Blanco / Reposado) Tequila
- 6 oz. grapefruit soda (preferably Squirt, or if you can find it, Jarritos Toronja, found at any little Mexican store or "Latino Foods" section at your local supermarket)
- juice from half a lime
- salt (for rim)
Rim a highball glass with the salt; fill it with ice and add the tequila and lime juice. Top it off with the grapefruit soda.
Salud!
